General tips for better scores for your game

In the last article I covered some tips on helping you to lower your scores. In this article we will do the same. Often, we do not make the proper decisions on the shot at hand. For example, playing on a windy day. We may not make alignment or proper club selection changes to adjust for the windy conditions or we may play our ball position in relation to our foot position the same as in a wind situation where changing your ball position is necessary.

Here are a few tips of different parts of the game that should help you make better decisions on how to play certain shots. I call this good play management as there is more to the game than just the physical act of hitting a ball. A huge part of the game in regards to scoring is your decision making. The mental side of the game. I might mention that patience play’s a big part of the mental side also.

Now on to the long game. In this article and upcoming articles, I will cover equipment, some set up basics, swing basics, swing drills, proper club selection, rules and etiquette. These articles do not cover much in the way of swing fundamentals except for those fundamentals that are common for all players. Always remember that no two players swing the same. Nor should they.
