We first met Brianna in 2019, when she joined Coastal GasLink’s Construction Monitoring and Community Liaison (CMCL) program. The CMCL program provides a vital link between project construction and Indigenous communities, ensuring that Indigenous values and the environment are protected during construction. Through the CMCL program, Indigenous members are selected by their communities to monitor construction and report back to their communities about what they see.

More than three years ago Ashley began working on Coastal GasLink as a Construction Monitor and Community Liaison (CMCL) for Nak’azdli Whut’en. Now, Ashley has leveraged her work experience and started her own environmental inspection business to further her career on Coastal GasLink.

In late September, the Coastal GasLink team came together with workers, partners, Indigenous and local community leadership – and a local, Indigenous-owned catering business – to celebrate the completion of the Wilde Lake Compressor Station.
