Skaters are scraping up the ice daily as they practice for the annual Figure Skating Winter Carnival this Friday and Saturday.

Co-figure skating coaches Adam Ells and Kelsey McEwen said they are excited for it.

“I’m feeling good, the kids have been working hard and they’re ready,” said Ells.

Ells says the Carnival will feature solos by senior skaters as well as group numbers by the senior and junior skaters, mostly choreographed by McEwen.

There will be two shows for the “Music through the Ages” carnival, one on Friday at 7 p.m. and the other Saturday at 2 p.m.
