The Leisure Facility will be open on Family Day from 12 to 4 p.m.
The operating policy of the Leisure Facility states that the facility would be closed on all stat holidays, but because of public complaints last Family Day, council agreed to open the Facility for that period.
Ryan Coltura, Director of Liesure Services, said it would cost the District $600 for the day - including two lifeguards and a receptionist at double time pay.
The Facility opening will be part of the Houston WinterFest event Feb. 8 to 10.
