On Feb. 13 at the Houston Claude Parish Memorial arena, the fourth annual “Guns and Hoses” hockey fundraiser for theSalvation Army food bank was held. Houston RCMP officers and members of the Houston Volunteer Fire Department competed in an entertaining hockey game for the cause. A total of $1063 was raised that afternoon. Last year the event raised $1218. This year the fire department won 5 to 3.
