Houston Figure Skating club shines at competition

The Houston Figure Skating club travelled to compete with Prince Rupert and Vanderhoof teams in a variety of divisions

The Houston Figure Skating club travelled to compete with Prince Rupert and Vanderhoof teams in a variety of divisions on Dec. 2 and 4. Results were as follows: Jessica Ells – 1st Place in Interpretive program, 3rd Place is Star 6 Freeskate, Hannah Ells – Bronze in Interpretive program, Jordyn Brent – Bronze in Star 2 Freeskate, Bronze in Dance Solo, Emilee McLearn – Bronze in Star 2 Freeskate, Bronze in Dance Solo, Brenna Rodway – Bronze in Star 2 Team Elements, 2nd place in Star 1 Solo, Elizabeth Chapman – Bronze in Star 2 Teams Elements, Kaydence Kaszas – Bronze in Star 2 program, Silver in Star 2 Elements, Darby Mackenzie – 1st place in Star 1 spins, 3rd place Star 1 Showcase, Charlotte Mackenzie – Bronze in Star 2 Team Elements, Adalyn Chaffer – Bronze in Star 1 jumps, Connie Bruns – 2nd place Star 1 Showcase, Paige McEwen – 6th place Star 4 Freeskate, 7th place Star 4 Elements. Next up for the Houston Figure Skating club is the regional competition in Williams Lake. “It is our biggest competition of the year. There will be skaters from Prince Rupert to Kamloops and as far North as Fort Saint John. Attending from our club will be Jessica and Hannah Ells, Miranda Rodway, Maggie Kenzle, Emilee and Isabelle McLearn,” said coach Stephanie Auston.
