Sophie's faith in the hope of a resurrection and life on a peaceful paradise earth is what kept her strong and positive through this difficult time.
The following poem was written by one of her grandaughters:
Granny
You picked us up when we fell down
Always concerned when there was a frown
With hugs you took our pain away
Ready and willing to laugh and play
Your wisdom taught us how to live
Things are good but better to give
Inviting arms always held us near
Took away pain, sorrow and tear
You saw your grandkids live and grow
To all of them your love you did show
Proven to be a great mother and friend
Positive and radiant right down to the end
Now you have left us and we are all sad
To know you and love you for that we are glad
