January 19, 1938 - January 8, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Robert Dumas.
Bob was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta and was one of 10 children (6 sisters, 3 brothers). He moved to Prince Rupert at the age of 13 and had a career as a fisherman working on a variety of fishing boats.
He moved the family to Granisle in 1977 to work at Noranda Mine and then finally made the move to Houston in 1980 to work at Equity Silver Mine until the mine closed.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carole, son Randy, and daughter Marni (Kevin). He had 8 beautiful grandchildren, Chandra, Cody, Colton, Chawntell, Delainey, Logan, Zach and Josh. He also had 12 great-grandchildren as well as a large extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Bonnie, daughter Laurissa, grandson Cody, 3 of his sisters and 2 of his brothers.
Bob had many hobbies that included gardening, hunting, painting, reading (his favourite books were Louis L 'amour novels), writing poetry, and reading the instruction manuals on anything new!
He and Carole loved travelling, camping, and driving around on any dirt road he had not yet travelled.
