Mina was born in Lutten, Holland on January 29, 1920 and passed away in the Bulkley Valley Hospital on May 8, 2011.

In 1950, Mom and Dad decided to move to Canada. They arrived in Houston, November, 1950, where Dad built a house. They lived in Houston for 7 years but Dad and Mom always wanted to farm. They then bought a farm in Barrett.

Our mother loved the farm, she worked hard with her husband milking cows and doing dairy work. As children we can still smell the fresh bread and oatmeal cookies that she would bake. Mom loved her birds; this was shown by the hummingbirds who returned every year to drink outside her window, and her flower gardens with her beautiful roses. Her knitting and crocheting was appreciated by family members. In 1979, mom’s husband, our father, passed away. She continued to live on the farm with Ali and Ken close by. Mom was very social with many friends, she volunteered at the Health Centre; later on she received a Freeman award, she always had a smile and helping hand.

Most of all we want to thank you Mom for teaching us that it is important to believe in God, that the Bible be read after every meal, and never wavering from that commitment. We want to thank you for all the time spent praying for us, the wisdom you show us and how important family life is. As her children we would like to thank all those who came to visit Mom, especially in the last 6 months. We would also like to thank the homecare workers who so loved and were kind to Mom, as well as Dr. Yaremko, she appreciated you immensely. We are comforted knowing Mom is in the care of our Lord. We love you and will miss you so much Mom. Rest well, till we meet again. Henry & Carol Seinen(Smithers, BC),
