Larry Cronin

June 17, 2011

Larry passed away in Kamloops on Friday, June 17th at the age of 73 years, in the Royal Inland Hospital. He is survived by his loving children, Bill (Karla) Cronin of Topley, Karen (Jeff) Knight of Victoria and Dennis Cronin of Red Deer, grandchildren Morgan Cronin and Eric Knight and by sister Mavis (Keith) Johnstone, as well as by numerous other relatives and friends.

Larry was born near Powell River, BC and spent much of his childhood playing with his cousins at their grandparent’s farm at Lang Bay. His youth was spent (or misspent!) in Prince Rupert and Houston, BC. With certain of his friends, who shall remain nameless, Larry played practical jokes and caused havoc throughout the Bulkley Valley. When he settled down to raise a family, though, he became a dedicated father and was a respected worker in the logging industry. From skidding with horses to building roads, Larry knew the industry inside out. Mostly though, he will be remembered for his amazing ability to tell stories - some of which even had a grain or two of truth in them! Dubbed Legendary Larry, he made friends everywhere he went with his easy humour and caring attitude.

Please email condolences to Cronin.Larry@gmail,.com. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Larry’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society. Memorial to be decided at a later date.
