September 17, 1929 - January 13, 2024

In Loving Memory ~

It is with deep sadness and much love that we announce the passing of Keith Johnstone on January 13, 2024 at the age of 94. He was born in Edmonton, AB to Esther and Alexander Johnstone on September 17, 1929.

Keith grew up in Mayerthorpe, Alberta and began developing his passion for driving at the early age of 17 for Greyhound Bus Lines. In the early 1950's he moved to Houston and drove logging truck for Lloyd Wilson, buying the truck from him soon afterwards.

From there, Keith became partners in Houston Transfer with Howard Pedersen and had Cecil Imrie join them as a third partner in the early 60's. Later Keith and his son Terry formed their own company, spending many years in business together, successful because of their similar work ethic and sincere respect for each other.

Keith and his beloved wife of 66 years, Mavis, retired to Enderby in 2000. Mavis passed away in September, 2019, leaving a huge void in Keith's life. They had shared a long life of love and happiness together.

Keith was a supportive and loving father to his four children Cheryl (Brian), Terry (Marie), Bruce, and Kelly. A proud grandfather, Keith's legacy continues through his 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

His impeccable work ethic, warm kindness, generosity, and friendship will be dearly missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
