With sadness the family of Jackie (Ellice) Dollemore announce her passing at the BV Lodge on September 27th, 2016.
Jackie was born on July 24th 1932 in Edmonton AB to Karl and Gerda Holmberg. She married Edward (Ted) Dollemore in Chilliwack BC on September 30th, 1950 and they moved to northern BC in 1958. They had four children, Daniel, Kathleen, Nancy and Abby. Jackie worked most of her life as a photographer, hobby shop owner, and the beloved secretary at Houston Secondary School. She had many other jobs, but was best known for her famous pies.
Predeceased by her husband Ted, daughter Kathleen, son in law John Riley, siblings Runi, Shirley, Gladys and Ruth. She will be deeply missed by her children Dan (Cindy), Nancy (Paul), Abby (Mike), grandchildren Ben (Monica), Kelsey (Tami), Karla, Steven, Edward, Michaela, Joe (Sonya), numerous great grandchildren, and siblings Nancy, Doug and Doris.
A Celebration of Life Tea was held at the Topley Community Hall on Saturday, October 22nd, from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jackie’s name to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
