February 23, 1954 - January 19, 2019
With a heavy heart and a sense of relief he passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, co-worker and friend. Henry was born in St.Paul, Alberta, moving to Terrace at the age of 2 with his parents, sister and brothers, where they settled on Brauns Island. Henry started working the mill in Terrace at 16 and later took his apprenticeship for a millwright. Staying with the mill through many changes in company names until Skeena Cellulose shut down. Moving on first to Fort St.James and then finally to Houston.

Henry worked in lumber mills, coal mines, and Mt. Milligan gold mine. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was one that never liked to be idle, always fixing and building things, helping at the Legion, fishing, skiing and even skydiving.

He is survived by his loving wife and partner Jeanette, children Daniel (Amie) McNeely, Carolyn Schulmeister, Jessica Champion, Angela Schulmiester and Wade (Maryann) Anundsen, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, sister Alma (Jim) Stainton, brothers Marvin, Will (Debbie), Lawrence, Martin (Juliet), many, many relatives and a host of friends.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Aurora, brother Edward, son Jason and grandson Joshua.

A Celebration of Life, well lived, for Henry will be held in Terrace on Saturday, June 15th, 3 pm at Kevin and Donna Schulmeister's residence, 5311 Haugland Avenue. Please bring your chair and refreshments. Thank you to all for cards, flowers, food and condolences, much appreciated.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Children's Hospital or Smithers Cancer Clinic.
