Gary Michael Lundquist, Born in Smithers, B. C., April 7, 1962, passed away in Prince George, B. C., July 3, 2009.

Gary is survived and mourned by his loving wife Deb, sons Kevin and Cody, parents Boyd and Sharon Lundquist, sister Christine Ferguson, Deb’s parents Judy and Ted Curley, brother-in-law Chris Curley (wife Michele) nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Gary lived in Houston, B. C. for forty five years. His favorite activity when he was growing up was minor hockey, always competitive, he played as he lived, giving 100%. The logging industry was Gary’s choice of his life’s work. Beginning at the age of fifteen when he worked “skidding” for his Dad, he continued working in the forest industry, after graduating from high school in Houston. Gary owned and operated his own skidder and logging truck for many years. Since moving to Prince George Gary continued in his chosen field, employed by LTN / Roga Contracting Ltd where he was a valued part of the Prince George Operations and with whom he was never happier. Gary was a man of great integrity, honesty and respect for others. Above all Gary’s strong sense of loyalty to his family and friends will never be forgotten. A man of strength and great love for his two sons whom he was so proud of, a son, a husband, a father, a brother and a true friend who will be greatly missed by all who truly knew him. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Prince George Regional Hospital for their professional medical care. A special thank you to the compassionate competent staff at the Prince George Hospice House.
