April 24, 2019
It is with sadness that the family of Garry Raymond Beaubien announce the passing of their dad and grandpa on April 24th, 2019 at the age of 72.

Garry will be lovingly remembered by his family: daughter Tina(Bob), and sons Ronnie (Flo), David(Jamie), Joe (Shellie), grandchildren, foster children, 91 yr old father Raymond, 9 siblings and extended family too numerous to name.

As a long time resident of Smithers BC Garry's life was defined by his resilience as a survivor of trauma in his younger years and a stoke at the age of 58. Experiences shaped who Garry was in his family and community and although Garry's health had been in decline in recent years he continued to be a fun loving life of the party kind of guy, who used his sense of humour to continue to reach out to others even when he himself was suffering.

Garry created everlasting memories through his passions in music, hunting, fishing and logging. He lived in the moment giving the shirt off his back to help others, always keeping the mood light and the laughter flowing.

There will be a public viewing at RaSchrader Funeral home at 1 pm, on May 10th. followed by a public gathering and celebration of life for Garry at 2 pm at 3985 Pioneer Place, Smithers.

Thank you to all who shared your lives and showed care and love to Garry over the years.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Suggestions: BC Wildlife Federation; Local Family Counselling Centres; Addictions Programs: Heart and Stroke Foundation; Diabetes Foundation.
