Edna was born in Prince Rupert, BC on July 24, 1912 and passed away peacefully at Trillium Lodge on September 14, 2008. Born to Swedish immigrant parents, John and Anna Byman, Edna was one of 14 children and the last to pass away. Edna is predeceased by her husband John and son Phillip. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie, Elsie and Debbie, along with seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edna was a devoted wife to husband John for 59 years and a very loving and kind mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was a hard worker throughout her life, and she instilled those values in her children. But the most important things in Edna's life were her family, her beliefs in the bible, and the door-to-door ministry.
Our sister Debbie has devoted her whole life to looking after our mom and dad, and the family appreciates that and we love her for it.
The memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses in Parksville, Saturday September 20 at 2 pm.
