Always Remembered, And Forever Missed
Our mother Beverly (known as Babs to the many who loved her) was born in Bonavista, Newfoundland- a twin to brother Bob from parents Wilson and Susie Russell. In her teens, the Russells moved to Buchans where she met and fell in love with John Emberley. John and Babs married on July 22nd, 1972, with the family growing shortly thereafter with the birth of their first son Dean, and second son Sheldon five years later. In 1980 they moved to Liverpool Nova Scotia and then on to Houston, B.C. in 1981, a town she called home for 41 years, until her final day
Those are the facts of our mother's life - the dates and places. They provide signposts of her journey, but they don't paint a picture of the kind-hearted, beautiful soul that touched and shaped our lives.
Babs loved being a Mom, a Wife, a Grandmother and a Great Grandmother. Family meant everything to her - one could see that in the way she took enormous pride in her devotion to taking care of us all.
Every family activity - gatherings, dancing, camping and hunting - was so special to her. Her big personality and ability to make everyone laugh and smile was always on display. When she watched her grandkids play sports - she was so loud and proud, over the years and through countless games she almost certainly made a few people deaf with her boisterous cheering. Thinking of Babs is almost impossible without thinking about the love she and her husband John had for each other. Partners in life and love, on the dance floor - two became one.
Beverley is predeceased by her parents Wilson & Susie Russell, brother Arthur Russell and sister Daphne (Bob) Harris. She is survived by her husband John Emberley, two sons Dean (Christina) and Sheldon (Robbyn), five grandchildren Madison, Mackenzie, Allison, Tyler, Riley, one great-grandchild Blair Proctor and six brothers Carl (Peggy), Allan (Kathy), Jerry (Pauline), Bob (Dianne), David (Dianne), Wilson (Madonna).
GO SOAR WITH THE ANGELS AND LOOK AFTER US AS YOU DID ON EARTH, WE LOVE YOU MOM, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
