Pursuant to section 26(3) of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the District of Houston intends to lease a 1.25 acre portion of District of Houston Property located on the land legally described as Lot 1, Plan PRP6335, District Lot 619, Range 5, Coast Range 5 Land District, Except Plan PRP13493, & Exc Pl BCP26463 (3553 11th Street) for construction and operation of a 35-unit affordable housing complex for a term commencing on June 5, 2024, and expiring on June 5, 2084, with an option to renew at expiration of the lease.
In consideration of $1.00 per year, the lease will grant the lessee the sole right of access to the land for each year of the lease.
Council will be giving final consideration to the lease at the Regular Meeting on June 4, 2024 at 6:30pm in Council Chambers, 3367 12th Street Houston BC. There will be an opportunity for comment on the land disposition at the start of the meeting during the Public Input Opportunity.
