Pursuant to section 26(3) of the Community Charter, notice is hereby given that the District of Houston intends to lease a portion of the east end of Steelhead Park located on the land legally described as Lot 1, District Lot 622, Range 05, Coast Range 5 Land District to Houston Link to Learning for the purpose of operating a Farmer’s Market, as outlined on the map below:
The lease will commence on June 14, 2024, and expire on September 30, 2024, with an option to renew upon expiration of the lease. In consideration of $1.00 per year, the lease will grant the lessee the sole right of access to the land for each year of the lease.
Council will be giving final consideration to the lease at the Regular Meeting on June 4, 2024 at 6:30pm in Council Chambers, 3367 12th Street Houston BC. There will be an opportunity for comment on the land disposition at the start of the meeting during the Public Input Opportunity.
