The Houston ACT (Action Changes Things) Committee is organizing a community-wide WinterFest celebration for Family Day.
Houston WinterFest will feature a week packed with family activities from Tuesday, Feb. 4 to Monday, Feb. 10 (Family Day).
Families will have no shortage of winter activities to enjoy, including hockey, figure skating, snow shoeing, ice fishing, snowmobile rides and winter field games.
Houston Link to Learning is putting on a Family Literacy Brunch at the Houston Community Hall on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Morice Mountain Ski Trails will have races, skiing lessons and snowshowing on the trails during Family Day.
Family Day will also have a free public swim 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Houston Leisure Facility and free public skating 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Claude Parish Memorial Arena.
