There were many display tents showing cultural First Nation traditions including medicines and burning pouches. Children made inukshuks and bead crafting. The Nature Centre had on display information on how to preserve and increase salmon population. The fire department volunteered to prepare burgers, hotdogs, salads and beverages. The bouncy castles on site were a big hit with the children and Houston Link to Learning and The Plaza were giving away pop corn. Looking back a few years ago this event was much smaller and today it has grown substantially. (Angelique Houlihan photo/Houston Today)
