Houston Secondary School golf team

Houston Secondary School (HSS) has a golf team this year. There were six golfers from Houston and four from Kitimat. The Houston golfers range from Grades 8-10 and are 14-16 year olds. The Kitimat kids are in Grade 11 and 12 and are 16-17 year olds. The team played in teams of four, the best four scores added together to declare the winner. Kitimat won by five strokes overall after 18 holes. Leyton Timms lead the HSS team with a score of 84 after 18 holes.

The Houston team consists of: Leyton Timms, Liam Rennie, Tucker Slaney, Declan Clee, David Brietzke and Cash Kazas. The Kitimat team consists of: Ethan Horsfall, Brick Minakee, Weldon Featherstone and Cohen O’Brien. The Houston team traveled to Kitimat May 12 and 13 to compete in the zone competition.
