The District of Houston is writing a letter to Greyhound opposing their application to reduce service between Prince Rupert and Prince George.

Linda Poznikoff, District Chief Administrative Officer, says they are reducing service all over the province, but here it's a concern because of the safety issues along the Highway of Tears.

"If they reduce services it puts people in danger and at risk," she said.

Council will write a letter expressing their safety concerns and concerns about reduced parcel delivery which will come from if Greyhound reduces their service.
