Houston ringette wins all games

On the weekend of Dec. 9, 2017 the Houston U14 ringette team won all four of their games in a home tournament at the Claude Parish Memorial arena in Houston. They played against teams from Terrace, Quesnel, and Prince George. Houston will be heading to two more tournaments in January in Quesnel and another in Richmond B.C. (Ann Marie Hak photos)

On the weekend of Nov. 17, 2017 the Houston Christian School Wildcats Grade 8 boys volleyball team won gold against Centennial Christian School in the final game in Prince Rupert . Teams from Houston, Smithers, Terrace and Prince Rupert all travelled that weekend to play at the northwest zones volleyball zones.

Houston atoms home tournament

There was a home tournament in Houston for atoms minor hockey. Teams from Houston, Burns Lake, Smithers, Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake, Fort St. James, Hazelton and Terrace competed over the weekend of Nov. 17 to Nov. 19 at the Claude Parish Memorial arena. Vanderhoof came in first, Smithers second, Terrace in third, and Houston in fourth.

Wednesday night weekly league curling is back at the Houston Curling club. Houston residents came together for a friendly game, concentrating on their curling techniques and enjoying time back on the curling lanes after a delay from the heat exchanger breaking down earlier in November. Houston ringette teams win games in Prince George

Houston ringette teams played against other divisions from Terrace, Prince George, and Quesnel the weekend of Nov. 11, 2017 and were very successful in their games. Houston U14 won all of their four games, U19 won two games and lost one, U10 had four losses, and the Bunnies won three games. Congrats.

Eight teams from Houston, Burns Lake, Smithers, Vanderhoof, Hazelton, Fort St. James, Terrace, and Prince Rupert were at the Houston Claude Parish Memorial arena on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5, competing in a peewee minor hockey tournament. Before their game against Vanderhoof, the Houston Flyers cheered on both teams from Prince Rupert and Fort. St James in an entertaining play off. Exciting end to the weekend with both final games ending in a shoot out.
