Houston ringette teams have had a busy season so far and are preparing for big competitions in the next couple of months.

Houston hosted a fun tournament last weekend with Friday night starting off with a Tri-City game. The Tri-City is a Bantam team made up of players from Houston, Burns Lake and Fort St. James, coached by Houston resident Alonzo Slaney. Saturday there was a midget league game and another Tri-City game on Sunday. (Angelique Houlihan photos)

On Dec. 9, 2017 at the Smithers Winter Classic Taekwon-Do Championships, 71 athelets from the Northwest including Houston, Burns Lake, Smithers, Prince George, Fort St. James, Hazelton and Terrace competed in the tournament. On the weekend of Nov. 17, 2017 the Houston Christian School Wildcats Grade 8 boys volleyball team won gold against Centennial Christian School in the final game in Prince Rupert . Teams from Houston, Smithers, Terrace and Prince Rupert all travelled that weekend to play at the northwest zones volleyball zones.
