On April 27 the Missoula Theatre and students at Twain Sullivan Elementary School put on a production of Treasure Island. There was two showings of the play, first at 3 p.m. and the second was at 5 p.m. Friends and family were in attendance to watch the wonderful production. Staged on the floor of the gym the students were well rehearsed, the costumes and set scenery was impressive and the presentation was captivating. Bravo to these young actors. The Missoula Children’s Theatre Company held auditions on April 22 at 10 a.m. Many hours through out the school week were committed by the students for rehearsal. It all came together for show time and each child was a star in this original adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic novel. Tickets were sold to see the production at $10/adult and $5/child. The money raised from this years play will go directly to funding next years production when Missoula comes back to the school with a new production. (Angelique Houlihan photo/ Houston Today)
