Located through the second entrance at the Houston Community Services building is the new thrift store in Houston called The Vault Thrift Store. Soon there will be signage to make locating the thrift store easier. The opening day was on June 1 and they offered a $5 per bag sale and BBQ for all customers. No donations are currently being accepted at this time as their space is very full. The thrift store will operate Wednesday to Saturday from 1-5 p.m. They are also wanting to use this new store as a work experience hub for some of Houston’s youth, but they will have one paid supervisor. They will collaborate with The Re-use program to assist low income residents with accessing goods but also welcome everyone to come and shop.
