On Dec. 2, 2017 the Missoula Children’s Theatre presented Alice in Wonderland performed by students of Silverthorne Elementary School in Houston. Missoula Children’s Theatre has been coming to Houston for the past 14 years, and has continued to be a cherished event to look forward to in the community, especially for children and parents. The Missoula Children’s Theatre company began in the 70s in the United States to bring theatre to schools in communities and foster an interest for the arts. Currently Missoula Children’s Theatre performs in all 50 states of the U.S., five Canadian Provinces, and in 16 other countries. After a school has arranged with Missoula Children’s Theatre to put on a production, two artistic employees of the company travel to the location and stay with families of the students and then spend a week casting, rehearsing, set designing the play until performance day.
