Houston Secondary School girl’s soccer team place third in zones in Kitimat on May 12 and 13. Teams from Kitimat, Hazelton, and two teams from Haida Gwaii, along with Houston attended the tournament. This was the first time the girls have played on a field this year, since the Houston Secondary School field was still thawing. Unfortunately this will be the first and last game the girls soccer team are qualified to play because this tournament was to determine who could compete in the provincial soccer zones. Winning team, Kitimat will travel to Vancouver to participate in a provincial soccer tournament.
