On July 11 until July 14 at the Four Seasons rodeo grounds, the Bulkley Valley District 4H club held a camp for skill building in horsemanship. This is the second year the camp has run in Houston, it is usually held in Smithers. The club hopes to continue to keep it at the Four Seasons grounds. Registrants from Terrace to Prince George come to camp for the week to be instructed by locals, play games, network, and develop skills. This year the camp had 30 kids registered. The four day camp costs $150 for local 4H members and $180 for out of district members. The Bulkley Valley District 4H club hopes to continue to event in Houston next year and has been working with the District of Houston to access and utilize the pole barn int he museum area of Four Seasons park so that they can bring more community and rodeo events to town.
