We live in an amazing community

Editor:

We live in an amazing community. While the countryside is gorgeous and unspoiled, it is the people who make up the town of Houston who truly shine.

I have been privileged to teach the aquafit classes at the pool for the past seven years. The 9 a.m. class welcomes everyone, but it is primarily made up of Houston’s finest – our seniors. After due consideration, it was with regret that I gave my notice of resignation in July.

I was invited to a luncheon at the new pub. Imagine my surprise to see over 25 of my class members – past and present – there to celebrate my retirement. It has been such an honour to teach these wonderful people. Their smiles, their sense of humour and their heartfelt love have given me purpose for my lifeguarding career. I love you all dearly.
