It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Wayne Ashcroft. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing. He was born In Burns Lake, the youngest child and only son to Wayne and Connie. Growing up, he enjoyed playing hockey and baseball and of course, fishing.
Throughout his life, he travelled down many roads searching for a fulfilling career, always being drawn back to the outdoors and environment. His passing at such a young age was quite a shock to all and he will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his sisters and families: Roberta Willson (Les, Tim and Rhiannon), Marianne Ashcroft-Hughes (Elizabeth and Jared), Jayne Noftall (Chris, Christy and Melissa), niece: Jessica Kooiker (Chris) and nephew Christopher Spahmann.
He’s gone fishing forever with his mom and dad, Wayne and Connie Ashcroft and sister, Cindy Roux.
The family would like to thank the medical staff for all their efforts. The family would also like to thank the Houston Health Centre staff and the many friends for their support through that difficult time. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Dan’s memory can do so at the Houston Credit Union. The donations will go towards a project to reflect his passion for fishing.
