Sullivan Motor Products in Houston collaborated with other GM dealers in Northern British Columbia to donate $24,000 to the Salvation Army.

Sullivan Motor Products, Houston, Coast Mountain GM, Smithers, MacCarthy GM, Terrace, WoodWeaton Super Centre, PRince George, Brown’s Chevrolet Buick GMC, Dawson Creek, and Murray Chevrolet Buick GMC, Frot St. John all donated.

“We just wanted to help out the fire relief efforts,” said John Sullivan, GM dealer for Sullivan Motor Products. “We donated $5000. We just thought with that many evacuees that a lot of help would be needed, and we just wanted to do our part.”

“We are all connected as one big Northern B.C. community and all share in the responsibility of looking after each other in times of need,” says Don Willimont, operations manager for Wood Wheaton Super Centre.

“I can’t believe how quickly this came together,” said Mark Chester, sales manager for Wood Wheaton Super Centre. “We contacted these stores yesterday and they were thrilled to be asked to help. Less than 24 hours later here we are presenting the cheque.”

The funds will go to assist in providing food and supplies to evacuees from the wildfires south of Prince George.
