Ice fishing at Klinger Lake

At Klinger Lake on the weekend of Nov. 11, 2017 (L-R) Kenneth Kalthoff and Riley Roney went ice fishing for their first time with family. The three year olds had a grand time playing with mini fishing rods, waiting patiently for a big catch. The two young fishermen did not catch anything, but are eager to go out again this winter season.

It is recommended that ice be at least four inches thick for ice fishing on foot, five to seven inches for snowmobile or ATV use, eight to 12 if driving a car or small pickup onto the ice, and at least 12 to 15 inches thick to hold a medium truck.
